Complaints Procedure

St. Mary’s has a Complaints Policy which is kept in the school office and is available for reference. In summary, the policy states that all complaints will be taken seriously and asks that you follow the below procedure.

  • Stage One: Direct your complaint to the member of staff responsible and be ready to state exactly what your concern is. The member of staff is required to address your complaint within two school days.
  • Stage Two: If the situation remains unresolved, it should be referred to the headteacher (preferably in writing), who will then investigate the complaint with the desired outcome being a mutually acceptable resolution of the problem.
  • Stage Three: In the unlikely event that you are still not satisfied with the outcome, you can then forward your complaint the Chair of Governors (in writing) at the school address. The complaint will be investigated and resolved to the best of the Chair’s ability.
