History and Geography

The History programme in the school is aimed at giving children knowledge of the past. This is achieved by studying the changes and developments that have taken place over the ages. The local element makes them aware of their immediate environment, the people and events which make up their community, and the affect of past developments on present activities.

In teaching Geography, our goal is to help children become aware of the world in which they live and of its composition. From this platform, children are able to learn of the developments in their own community, as well as in the wider world, particularly those which affect the quality of life for good or ill.
